The Whisky Exchange, founded by Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh, has evolved from a family business to one of the world's largest online drinks retailers, specializing in a vast selection of more than 10,000 spirits. Known for its unique collection of old, rare, and discontinued whiskies, the company was established in 1999 when the brothers sold their family business, The Nest, and ventured into the world of online spirits sales. Their journey to success was marked by innovative services, expansion into physical stores in the UK, and a commitment to customer engagement and education.

In 2021, the renowned spirits giant Pernod Ricard acquired The Whisky Exchange (along with their on-trade arm, Speciality Drinks, and all events that go with it – The Whisky Show, The Cognac Show, The Champagne Show), aligning with its e-commerce strategy and consumer-centric approach, offering a multitude of opportunities for the brand's future growth. The founders, Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh, continue to lead the business under Pernod Ricard's ownership.
